Hexagon Smokey Quartz Ring

This one is really special. What makes it stand out is the special shape and cut of the gemstone. It is a smokey quartz, cut in a 8 corner bordeaux cut. The stone is about 8 mm wide and it really pops. Not just because of its width, but also the hight. The bezel in which the stone is set is 6 mm high. The ring is made of sterling silver and it has a European ring size of 17,5 (inner ring diameter 17,5 mm). The ring band has a width of 3 mm. The outside of the ring has a matte satin finish. The small top part surrounding the stone has a high gloss finish. All to direct some extra attention towards the stone. A unique, one of a kind, handmade design.

De steen in deze ring is heel bijzonder geslepen. Het betreft een rookkwarts, die geslepen is in een achthoekig bordeaux slijpsel. De steen is ongeveer 8 mm breed, 6 mm hoog en trekt zeker de aandacht. De ring is gemaakt in sterling zilver en de ringmaat is 17,5. De ring heeft een breedte van 3 mm (met uitzondering van de zetting van de edelsteen). Ik vond het heel gaaf om de ring zelf een matte afwerking te geven, met uitzondering van het smalle randje zilver rondom de edelsteen. Dat heb ik een mooie glans gegeven om nog wat extra aandacht richting de steen te brengen. Niet dat hij dat nodig heeft, maar toch. Een unieke, handgemaakte zilveren ring, enig in zijn soort.
