Framed Dendrite Scene

With a gemstone like this, the most difficult part is making a setting that will add to the stone in stead of distracting from it. This setting is exactly how I wanted it to turn out. With these dendrites inspiration comes on its own. They are wonderful to work with. This one has a very special shape. So I chose to give it a sturdy wire frame and give it a rough look. It can be worn with a silver necklace (which will make it more feminine) but I went with a black piece of leather. I think it adds to the design. Want to see how this one was made?
